The Picasso of Charcoal Realism
Born October 20, 2006 in El Carmen de Atrato, Chocó, Colombia, and now based in Medellín, Luis Miguel is a prodigy of the charcoal medium — he first picked up a pencil at the age of four and has never stopped drawing since. At just 19 years old, with over 15 years of dedicated practice, his mastery of charcoal has earned him recognition as one of the most gifted young realist artists working today.
Specializing in charcoal, his work explores the profound interplay of light and shadow, transforming simple carbon and paper into breathtaking works of photorealistic art — from intimate wedding portraits and family heirlooms to large-scale figurative compositions. Deeply committed to the art world and still on a journey of self-discovery, Luis Miguel is constantly exploring new techniques and directions with every piece.
His work is exclusively represented and managed worldwide by Chad R. LaBoy. All inquiries regarding commissions, purchases, and exhibitions are handled through his management.
